Nightlife in Turkey

Cheap holidays to Turkey provide tourists with access to a lively Mediterranean nation with a lively culture of eating, drinking and entertainment. Whatever you look for in a night out with friends or a romantic date with your other half, you’ll find it in any of the fantastic Turkish holiday resorts.

During the summer months all of Turkey’s beautiful and electrifying resorts come alive with music, dancing and night-long parties. Al-fresco dining is the norm throughout all of the nation’s beautiful coastal resorts, and those who do not enjoy the energy and atmosphere of some of Europe’s biggest and best nightclubs will find plenty of taverns and luxury hotel resorts to enjoy instead.

In Turkey, the evening traditionally begins with drinking and dining, whilst enjoying live music played on traditional instruments. Small appetizers or mezes are followed by a meal of fish, consumed with rounds of raki, the national spirit with the aniseed kick.

Music is a part of Turkish culture and the country’s many popular holiday resorts have embraced contemporary music too; with big cities which attract big name musicians, DJs and performers, whilst Turkey holiday resorts showcase all popular types of music within their various pubs and clubs. Traditional music is also still popular in Turkey, ranging from Anatolian folk music to Turkish-style classical music to lively, Balkan-influenced “fasil” music, and experiencing it live is the most enjoyable way to hear it.

The drinking scene is just as diverse with marina-side bars and taverns in which to unwind, plus rows of nightclubs and discos to party the night away.
